Bio & Contact
Jackson Owen (b. 2000, Atlanta, GA, USA)
Jack is an American artist living and working in London. He studied at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta (2018-2022) the University of Oxford (2022) and the University of Cambridge (2022-2024). He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Painting at the Royal College of Art in London.
In his work, Jack is primarily interested in the subjectivity of truth and the relationship between truth and space. Through this interest, he problematizes how human perception is shaped by the spaces that one inhabits, and, in his work, he mainly depicts the kinds of spaces that shaped his childhood and generation, and those that continue to do so. Jack’s work picture moments of fabrication and dismantlement in various states of finished-ness.
